Filtration Effect And Applications of Microporous Glass Fiber Membrane Filter

Microporous glass fiber membrane filter is one of the famous membrane filters, which has the advantages of high filtration precision, fast filtration speed, less adsorption, no medium shedding, no leakage, acid, and alkali corrosion resistance, easy operation and so on. It can remove bacteria and particles from water and liquid in injection water and can be recoil when cleaning.
Preparation for Operation
Before the installation of the filter, the filter element and shell should be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized. After applying a clean filter liquid as a lubricant to the “O” ring, insert the filter element carefully and vertically into the socket plate at the lower part of the filter. If the pump uses 226 interfaces, the two ears should be inserted into the chassis. After the filter “O” is replaced into the socket, rotate clockwise so that the two ears are stuck into the empty slot of the chassis. After the filter system has been rinsed, the whole filter system must also be thoroughly rinsed with clear water. When the whole filtration system is washed clean, it can be filtered.

The Applications of Microporous Glass Fiber Membrane Filters
In the applications of membrane separation technology, the microporous glass fiber membrane filters are the most widely used. This kind of membrane filters is easy and convenient for use and have the advantages of high ventilatory capacity, high reject rate of particles, good thermal endurance, strong acid-resistance, strong alkali resistance, organic solvent resistance, oxidizing agent resistance, aging resistance, non-stick, noninflammability, and excellent biocompatibility.
Moreover, the materials of microporous glass fiber membrane filters mainly include organic materials and inorganic materials. In consideration of the separation characteristics, the applied ranges of microporous glass fiber membrane filters are primarily retaining particles, bacteria and other pollutants from gas chromatography and liquid chromatography, and thus achieve the aims of purification, separation, and concentration.
In terms of microfiltration, the retaining characteristics of membrane filters depend on the pore sizes. Generally, the pore sizes range from 0.1 μm to 1 μm, so the microporous glass fiber membrane filters can separate bacteria and suspended solid with large diameters.
Also, the microporous glass fiber membrane filters can be used for cartridge filtration and air sterilization. They are widely applied in the industries of scientific research, medicine & health, biological chemistry, food, energy, microelectronics, nanotechnology, and environmental protection.
