Hawach molecular distillation equipment must be equipped with a set of the vacuum pump to operate. Generally, Hawach can provide vacuum options of 10Pa, 1Pa, and 0.1Pa. Usually, we have two types of vacuum pumps, rotary vane vacuum pump, and the roots vacuum pump. This article mainly introduces the relevant information about these two vacuum pumps.
Rotary vane vacuum pump
The rotor mounted eccentrically in the rotary vane vacuum pump is tangent to the stator fixing surface. Two (or more) rotary vanes slide in the rotor groove (usually radial) contact with the inner wall of the stator. The pump cavity is divided into several a variable-volume rotary vacuum pump. Generally, the gap between the rotary vane and the pump cavity is sealed with oil, so the rotary vane vacuum pump is generally an oil-sealed mechanical vacuum pump.
Application:
Its working pressure range as 101325-1.33 × 10-2 (Pa) and it belongs to a low vacuum pump. It can be used alone or as a foreline pump with other high vacuum pumps or ultra high vacuum pumps together.
Features:
1. Fast pumping speed, small size, light weight, low noise, easy maintenance, high ultimate vacuum, and so on. According to the international limit, the vacuum is 6 × 10-2Pa (that is, 5 × 10-4Torr, Note: Torr = 133.32Pa).
2. There are reliable dustproof devices. Other rotary vane pumps can be connected into the pump cavity after the debris passes through the dustproof device. However, for our vacuum pump, when the debris passes through the dustproof device, it can only flow around the outside of the dustproof device. This ensures the normal operation of the pump and completely solves the phenomenon of debris getting caught in the pump cavity.
3. There is a compound screw with an air release valve and oil inlet. For the two-stage rotary vane pumps produced for many years in China, the oil inlet is designed on the low-level exhaust valve seat inside the oil tank. When the oil hole is blocked, the oil needs to be drained and the oil tank removed to clear the oil hole. As long as the vacuum pump unscrews the compound screw, the oil hole can be dredged, and debris and water vapor can also be discharged. It is fast and labor-saving, which greatly improves the working efficiency of the pump.
Scope of Application:
* Gas type: It is clean and dry air without other mixture under the room temperature, and no air containing other dust and moisture is allowed.
* Working requirements: when the inlet pressure is greater than 6500Pa, the continuous working time shall not exceed 3 minutes to avoid pump damage caused by fuel injection. When the inlet pressure is less than 1330pa, continuous work is allowed for a long period of time.
* Ambient temperature: The vacuum pump is generally used in an environment with a room temperature not lower than 5 ℃ and relative humidity not higher than 90%.
