Cellulose and glass fiber extraction thimbles cylinder enjoys a worldwide reputation for its excellent quality and purity and is widely used in Soxhlet extractors. It is a safe, convenient and effective method for the extraction of solid and semi-solid substances. Soxhlet extraction is a widely used technique for the analysis of lipids or pesticides in food and soil materials as well as other solid-liquid extraction techniques.
Cellulose extraction thimbles cylinder is made of high-quality cellulose lint, with high mechanical strength and strong retention. The extraction thimbles is made of high-quality cotton cellulose. For conventional automatic extraction instruments, we provide you with sleeve/filter cartridge adapters matching the size of the instrument to meet the requirements of automatic use.
Method of use
Soxhlet extractor, also known as a fat extractor or fat extractor. The soxhlet extractor is composed of an extraction bottle, extraction tube, and condenser. The two sides of the extraction tube are respectively equipped with siphon and connection tube. The connection place of each part shall be strict and cannot leak air.
During extraction, the sample to be tested is placed in the cellulose extraction thimble and put into the extraction tube. Petroleum ether was added into the extraction bottle, heated the extraction bottle, and petroleum ether was gasified. It rose into the condenser from the connecting tube, and condensed into liquid and dropped into the extraction tube to extract lipid substances in the sample.
After the petroleum ether liquid level in the extraction tube reaches a certain height, the dissolved petroleum ether with crude fat flows into the extraction bottle through the siphon. The petroleum ether flowing into the extraction bottle continues to be heated, vaporized, elevated, condensed and dripped into the extraction tube, and so on until the extraction is complete.
