The Function of Membrane Filter

The core component of the membrane filter is the membrane. It is a kind of thin film which is prepared on the microporous bearing layer with smaller holes. There are various materials for making the membrane, including organic membrane and inorganic membrane.
As the core component of the membrane filter, one of the structural features of the membrane is the thin filtering layer. So, its main filtration mechanism is filtering out with low adsorption effect. As a result, the filter fitness of the membrane filter is high and the control of particle size is stable. Moreover, the restorability can also be easily achieved throughout backwash.
However, if there is oil in the water, it is very likely to cause blocking and hard to backwash. Based on the hydrophilic character of the ceramic material, many researchers are used to wishing to handle the produced water with the ceramic membrane. But after research, scientists commonly believe that the problem of membrane fouling can still be difficult to solve.
In fact, membrane fouling is a very complex problem, but there is one thing we can confirm, that a lot of organic compounds will exist in the pollutant. In general, the membrane is always be considered instead of the bearing layer.
