Compared to quantitative filter paper, qualitative filter paper contains more residue ash, so it can only be used for general qualitative analysis and for filtration precipitation or suspension in solution, but cannot be used for quality analysis. And the low mechanical strength and toughness of filter paper make it not suitable for filtration of heat and concentrated sulfuric acid or nitric acid solution.
Types of Qualitative Filter Paper
Qualitative filter paper provided by our company is divided into two types, that is, standard qualitative filter papers and wet-strengthened qualitative filter papers. And standard qualitative filter papers contains five grade, they are in turn: BIO-1, BIO-2, BIO-4, BIO-5 and BIO-6, wet-strengthened qualitative filter papers includes BIO-113 and BIO-91. product appearance of all qualitative filter paper is smooth and the ash content (%) are all less than 0.06; wet burst (psi) of all wet strengthened filter paper is equal or greater than 320, an ash content of all wet strengthened filter paper is less than 0.13.
