Vacuum Filtration In Practice

Filtration is the process in which solid particles in a liquid or gaseous fluid are removed by permitting the fluid to go through and retain the solid particles with a filter medium. According to the different nature of the driving force, there are gravity filters, pressure filters, and vacuum filters.
In the applications of collecting particulate from a liquid suspension, vacuum filtration is driven by negative pressure applied downstream of the filter holder in the lab. The retentate on the filter’s surface or the fluid filtrate is available for more analysis.
Vacuum filtration is widely applied in the laboratory for various analysis such as microorganism test in food, pharmacy, beverage, drinking water industries and suspended solid test in the water treatment field, solvent (mobile phase)refinement before HPLC, GC, AA analysis, etc.
Our collection of vacuum filtration equipment, such as diaphragm vacuum pumps, glass vacuum filtrations and stainless steel vacuum filtrations, provide high quality components for all of your lab’s vacuum filtration processes.
